I’m not Hispanic, so it was great to learn about the culture of Latino students and about the programs that are helping them get to college and become citizens. They really want to make a difference in the United States.

Work Study Tutors, & Administrative Assistants

NLA hires college work study students as tutors, lead tutors and administrative assistants for middle school and high school students in a one-on one or small group setting. Tutors will assist the students in various academic areas of reading, writing, math, science, biology, chemistry, language arts, and other academic subjects based on students’ needs. Pay Ranges from $8.55– $12.00 per hour. Training to be a tutor is provided.
